Let’s say – theoretically – that you have a good friend who – because of age or illness – is nearing the end of his or her life.
One day, he or she asks if you – a woodworker and friend they respect – if would use your talent and skill to build them an urn or coffin to house their remains for their eternal rest.
Would you do it?
Sure. If the person is a close friend. Even though my views of life find things like this inconsequential, if someone else’s beliefs lead them to revere an urn, casket, etc. Why not. It’s about them, not me, right?
I would do my absolute best for my friend or relative, because I know they would do the same for me.
I just finished one for my Dad. I am now starting to make some for my Church.
