Garett...

Unfortunately, Niki didn't publish any books. If you check the larger woodworking forums and search for Niki, you will find his stuff there. Some I know of include the Woodworkers Website Association (http://www.woodworking.org) and Lumberjocks (http://www.lumberjocks.com).

Thank you.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I was not aware that Niki has passed away.

He was a genuine person, very helpful, friendly, and inspiring with his work and ideas.

may he rest in peace!

Wow. I just lost my primary sled today in a 6-foot fall to its front-fence corner. I'd never heard of Niki, but his sled has given me about 900 ideas.

Fantastic tribute, Tom. I'd never heard of (or perhaps noticed) Niki before today, but I'm sure the woodworking side of his being is pleased with the simple, eloquent treatment.

To the theme, I've educated my kids (9 and 13; boy and girl respectively) on the safe use of nearly all the tools in my shop. My son loves to cut and join, while my daughter is clearly fascinated with finishes (especially as applied over oil crayons, tissue paper, and other media).

Legacy: it may likely be all we've got. :)

Tom....Thank you for this tribute to Niki. I posted his demise on the WOOD Forum. I"ve been following his designs for several years.

I'm pleased to say I trained my daughter in woodworking...and last December after the birth of her daughter, she informed me that I will train her as well. By the way...I also have a son who is a very accomplished woodworker.

Tom,
I apreciate your tribute to Niki. I have followed along with alot of his posts on the "How To" part of WWA and agree, he was a real thinker when it comes to jigs.
I also apreciate your reminder to help others (especially the younger ones) to learn and enjoy woodworking no matter if it is a hobby or a livelyhood, just as Niki did.

Wow, Tom.

I just reviewed the linked to article on his sled. What an engineer and craftsman we've lost. I'm sorry I didn't know of him before.

I've got a few of his tips on jigs in my jigs notebook and you are totally right. He showed it in such a way that even a guy with two left thumbs like me could build them.
He will truly be missed.
