Let me get out the camera and see if I can’t get a few more shots. I can also give you the sketchup picture to show you what Craig’s idea was to begin with.

It’s surprisingly stable, but I would strongly recommend that you widen up the table base proportionally to keep that stability.

I really like the base, Think I could have more pictures or maybe the sketchup file? Is the base stable enough for a wider table like a kitchen table?

I love the wood selection, all together a very good looking project.

Actually, thanks for the assist… I was stuck on how to build the rest of that base… you made a great call on the hourglass shaped base.

But who is this interloper – Craig??
So, “The rest of the story” is that Tom made additional design changes beyond the sketchup drawing that really completed the base. Very nice job!!
